I read the reviews and was worried it would be too sharp but it seems they have fixed that issue, mine was very smooth to the touch.
I love this anchor! Its so lightweight, easy to settle in and very strong hold.
I use it as my back anchor just because its so easy to carry it from the front to the back, so the light weight makes it ideal for that purpose as my other anchor is much heavier, but it can easily be used as the front anchor as well - its strong enough for my 24' hurricane.
only thing to note, if you drop it in water, is to give it a few extra seconds to reach the bottom. It just just a few more seconds due to its light weight.

Besides the directions being terrible (best to just study the picture on the box) and having to use a round file to open up the hole the cross bar goes through, I love this anchor. So light and easy to handle. When I dropped it in at the beach, it grabbed instantly and held firm. Then i swam out to it to take a look. it was buried. Completely dug in. When we moved, I pulled the boat on top of it and it popped right up with a little pull. Worked great!

We were looking to replace our heavy galvanized stern anchor we use at our sandbar meetups and came across the SandShark Shark-Bite. It was much more affordable than the competitor's and being a fluke style, it should hold in the sand. First time using it this past weekend and wow, what a difference. Strong outgoing tide and it held our 25' boat just fine. Much easier to handle than the old anchor when leaving and retrieving it. Once in the boat I can collapse it and stow it away instead of being a trip hazard on deck. This anchor is great, easy to use, super lightweight, great looking and will definitely be buying another for the other boat.

Dont Waste Your Money...Design Flaw!

Owned and used this anchor for 1 year and it did work good and I liked the retractable shank! Worked well. HOWEVER, the boating season is over where I live and I was just doing some anchor inspection and maintenance and to my surprise found that the roll pill was about to fall out. This is not good because if you understand how this anchor works its absolutely imperative that the roll pin does not fail. My roll pin was loose in the hole and if it had fallen out we would lost the lower end of the anchor and be drifting....this is a design flaw 100%. I thought I would just replace the roll pin with a small stainless steel bolt BUT the head and the nut creates issues with the flukes of the anchor actually being able to function and flop from side to side...a no go!!!! I am really disappointed in this anchor and IF YOU HAVE ONE OF THESE I WOULD SUGGEST YOU INSPECT THE ROLL PIN BEFORE ITS TO LATE! THIS IS A BOATING SAFETY ISSUE! Going back to my high performance aluminum Fortress! I would like a refund BUT I bet the Mfg will ignore this serious safety review!!!???

And one last point, file off the shape edges, this anchor will cut you and beat up your anchor locker...a simple manufacturing detail...dam! Im about to design and build my own anchor and do it right!

Super light. Obviously doesn’t rust. Easy to throw, but does have sharp edges. Not just on the blade of the anchor. It doesn’t set as easy in the sand as I’d hoped, but when it does it does. Holds my 21’ a Seadoo switch in high winds just fine.
