Attractive and good size for a beach towel and the clothes and a few things you want to keep dry or just carry. It does not claim to be waterproof, and when I was rolled under the inner tube on rapids a little moisture got inside the folded over top, but it did not seep further down into the bag and my items were dry. So while I would not use it for a camera or other electronics without additional protection it worked great. The strap was great. I carried it across my shoulder. Didn't use the whistle.

I left it laying every where and no water seeped yhrubthe bag. I did NOT submerge this bag but I can see how it would be safe if u can figure out the closing features properly...qhichbwe hated the hassle I actually thought it would be a bit more straightforward and it's not. So we used as a beach bag and it kept everything safe inside.
