The seats got here quick and as ordered. My girlfriend and I used them on the multi-day float. All of our friends were jealous after a matter of hours. I knew i wanted to lean back, but i hadn't realized that leaning back allows another luxury.... propping up your feet. I chose these because of the framed back. I've used similar seats that were didn't have the frame and don't like the way they wrap around your back. These are sturdy (will note that I am built small and only weigh 160 lbs). My bottom still got a little sore after the weekend, but cannot complain about the back support and overall improvement of comfort. The pocket on the back was handy for keeping a few things (sunscreen, map, etc.) close.
The seats fit well in both my smaller 12 ft canoe with bench seats and the 16 ft wenonah that we rented with canvas webbed seats. They may not have worked as well with the molded seats on the old town that our friends brought along.
Overall, I definitely recommend these to anyone who canoes frequently. Even if you are just going on a weekend float, i'd say i got my $30 out of the first use. Great product.
